- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or 6 chicken thighs)
- 3 tablespoons taco seasoning blend
- kosher salt, pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup tequila
- 3/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
- 3 tablespoons orange juice
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- 1 teaspoon orange zest

-
Put the chicken in a gallon size plastic bag with 2 tablespoons of the taco seasoning, kosher salt, pepper, and olive oil. Massage the bag until evenly coated and marinate in the fridge for at least an hour.
-
In a saucepan combine tequila, honey, lime juice, orange juice, lime and orange zest, a few dashes of hot sauce, kosher salt, pepper, and the remaining tablespoon of the taco seasoning. Whisk together, bring to a boil over high heat, reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes. The mixture will thicken more as it cools.

Preheat the grill to medium heat for a few minutes. Grill the chicken 10 to 12 minutes total, flipping a few times. Brush with the tequila glaze during the last half of cooking a few times.
-
Serve the chicken with the remaining tequila glaze for dipping.
